Ice Blocks!!!!

Lisa: * sigh *
Me: Hey Lisa.

Lisa: Oh, hi.
Me: What's wrong?
Lisa: I'm hot.....

.....and bored and hungry.

Lisa: Can we go to the beach?
Me: Not today, it's too windy.

Lisa: * sigh *

Lisa: It's too hot and there's nothing to do!!!

Me: Why don't you have some of your ice cream?
Lisa: Oh, well I............

Me: Lisa!

Me: You ate the whole tub! In one night!

Lisa: Well, when you said I could watch a movie and have ice cream,
you didn't say how much.
Me: * raises eyebrow *

Lisa: Ok, I'm sorry. Now can we please do something fun!

Me: * sigh * Alright.

Me: Come on. I have an idea.

>>>>>Some Time Later<<<<<<

Me: Right, have we got everything?

Lisa: Orange juice, check. Ice block moulds, check. Little wooden sticks, check!

Lisa: Um, Rosie. Where did you get this table?
Me: Oh, it's actually the camera case, so lets try and be tidy.
Lisa: Oh, ok!

Lisa: What do we do first?
Me: Well, first you take the juice and poor some into each mould.

Lisa: Like this?
Me: Yes.

Me: That's enough. Very good.

Lisa: What now?
Me: Now we place a stick in the centre of each mould.

Lisa: Is this right?
Me: Yep.

Lisa: Done!
Me: Good job.

Lisa: Mmmm, they look yummy!

Lisa: Can we eat them now?
Me: Not unless you want to drink them.
Lisa: Huh?
Me: * chuckles * They're suppose to be frozen, we have to put them in the fridge to set first.
Lisa: Oh, ok!!

Lisa: What do we do now?
Me: Now, we clean up and wait.

After we'd cleaned up Lisa had a lie down.

After resting.........

playing her iPod............

Lisa: How long do ice blocks take to freeze!!!!!!!!!

Me: Well, I guess we could check them.

A Busy Morning

Today we had to get up early to go and help my grandmother do some gardening.

Lisa here surprised me by rising early and getting dressed.
Lisa: Can I come to, please!
Me: Oh, alright then. But you have to promise the behave.
Lisa: Oh yes, I promise!

Lisa: Why aren't we taking the car?
Me: Because Dad wants to test the motorhome, it just got registered.
Lisa: Registered with what?
Me: Never mind.

Lisa: I can't see!

Me: Need some help?
Lisa: Yes please.

Me: Ok.

Me: Up you go.
Lisa: Yay!

Lisa: Wow, we're so high!

Lisa: I can see a car coming!

We arrived at our grandmother's house and began planting.

We planted the bigger plants.......

......while Lisa planted a small flower.

What better to cool you down on a hot day than
good old H2O!

Lisa also made friends with a fairy, and chattered with her
while we finished up the garden.

Soon after, it was time to leave.

Lisa was tired and so she had a lay down on my hat.

The smell of food quickly roused her.
Lisa: Oh yummy!!

Me: No, not for you! That's far too much pie for one little doll.

Once home, Lisa flopped down onto her lounge.
Lisa: Whew, I'm so tired.

Me: Well before you do anything else in those dirty clothes,
why don't you have a bath and get changed.
Lisa: Alright.

Lisa: Will these clothes do?
Me: Yep.

Lisa: Shoes off.......

.................

Lisa: Aaaahhhh.
Me: *chuckles*

What a great way to end a busy morning.

Hope you enjoyed reading!

I just had to post this!

Ok, so I just went to see some really close friends today, that I haven't seen in ages! They have horses, and for those of you who don't already know I love horses and really enjoy riding them! I have had lessons but haven't ridden for a few months.

So today when I arrived one of the girls was already out waiting at the gate on her sister's 13.3hh skewbald mare. She followed  us to the house and she immediately asked if I wanted to ride! I said yes and we went to find me a helmet and catch her horse, a 14.2hh skewbald gelding, for me to ride. We caught him and I hopped on. Oh, and did I mention we were both bareback?

Now for some people, including my friend, riding bareback is not a big deal. For me however it is way out of my comfort zone. I've only ever ridden bareback at a walk and slow trot and always in a small pen. Now here I was in a massive paddock on a big horse with no saddle! I said to myself, " Well, what's the worst that can happen? Me fall off, that's what!" I guess that's inevitable if you want to ride horses. So I just rolled with it.

My friend led the way across the paddock towards the driveway and the front gate. We arrived at the bottom of a hill, and at the top was the gate.We stopped.
My friend said, " Let's race to the top!"

I was nervous, but agreed. We lined up our horses and as I grabbed my mount's thick black and white mane my friend shouted," Go!"

I kicked my horse and he shot after my friend's mare, cantering up the hill. At first I was horrified, I thought I would fall, and as my gelding gained on the mare in front he got so close I thought she'd kick out! Gritting my teeth I let go of the mane with one hand and steered him to the side to overtake my friend. As I overtook her she let out a start of surprise.

We reached the top and I halted my horse. My heart was pounding. My friend informed me that in fact, my horse had been going at quite a slow canter. It certainly didn't feel like that to me. I felt like I was galloping up that hill! :) I had cantered on other horses before, but never bareback.

So that was the highlight of my day, sorry for rambling but I just had to post this. XD
Unfortunately I didn't get photos or video, but the experience is imprinted on my mind. :)

Hope you enjoyed reading!
